The Market Surveillance section is responsible for monitoring the wholesale electricity market in accordance with Article 26a of the Federal Electricity Supply Act. As a competence centre for data collection and analyses of the wholesale electricity market, it monitors the proper functioning of wholesale electricity trading and takes steps to increase market transparency.
